MY SISTER'S KEEPER PROGRAMME
No girl should have to face life’s challenges alone.
My Sister’s Keeper is an Igboebisi Empowerment Foundation mentorship programme that pairs vulnerable girls with established women in our community. It offers guidance, encouragement and personal support to help girls navigate life in Nigeria, with a particular focus on Anambra State.
For a girl facing family pressures, financial hardship, difficulties at school or uncertainty about her future, having someone to turn to can make a real difference. Our mentors listen without judgement, share their experiences and help mentees understand their options and make informed decisions.
Through one-to-one mentorship, we aim to help each girl recognise her strengths, set achievable goals and progress in her chosen field. This may include guidance on education, career choices, developing skills and finding opportunities that match her interests and ambitions.
At the heart of My Sister’s Keeper is a caring relationship built on respect and trust. We aim to create a safe, supportive space where girls can speak openly about the obstacles in their lives, ask difficult questions and feel heard without being shamed or dismissed.
Our goal is to help every mentee grow in confidence, find direction and build a future she has helped shape—with an experienced woman beside her to offer encouragement along the way.

GET INVOLVED
Your experience, time and encouragement could make a lasting difference in a girl’s life. We bring together people who believe that girls deserve support, opportunities and someone they can turn to.
Become a mentor
Are you an established woman willing to guide and encourage a younger girl? Share your experience, offer practical advice and help a mentee find direction in her education, career and personal life. We welcome women who can listen with compassion, respect boundaries and commit time consistently.
Connect a girl with support
If you are a girl seeking guidance, we would love to hear from you. If you know someone who could benefit from mentorship, encourage her to contact us. Every girl will be approached with care and respect for her privacy and choices.
Share your skills and opportunities
You can contribute by offering career guidance, practical skills sessions, learning resources or work experience opportunities. Your knowledge and connections could help a girl take her next step towards her chosen field.
Support our community
Help us reach more girls and potential mentors by sharing the programme. We also welcome individuals, schools, community groups and organisations interested in contributing time, resources or working with us.
To express your interest, get in touch with Igboebisi Empowerment Foundation and tell us how you would like to help.
